DescriptionQuiltmade with a "Barn Raising" pattern pieced by Lucilla Hughes Holland, mother of donor, before her wedding in 1886. All work done with her left hand as right hand had been lost in an accident at age 11. Made in Missouri.

Alternating darks & light colored patches. Quilt patchwork in blended shades of brown cotton with a lighter paisley print/lined with dark brown cotton with white sprigged flowers.
