DescriptionFoundation split-cat-tails sewing yucca fiber. Design five petal squash blossom, outlined in dark red fiber.
Ornamentation in mescalero baskers is achieved by using different colors of the same substance. the outside of mescal leaves is green in differnt shades, but the inside of split leaves is perfectly white. Subtle shading is the charm of mescalero basketry.
