DescriptionSandals, gold kidskin lined with white kidskin and laced with gold braid. Worn by Madame Modjeska in her role of "Cleopatra." From the electric lighting to the costuming made in Paris to “historical specifications,” the expenses for the Polish debut of Antony and Cleopatra were enormous. The production was given unfavorable reviews by the critics, but they did not hurt Modjeska’s reputation as an actress.
