DescriptionThought to be Northern CaliforniaBottom in plain twined weave. Sides alternate bands of plain twining and diagonal twining. Rim is a loop of heavy rod sewn on with splints.

Plain, 2 elemen S-twined. The alternate series of plain and twill twined weft rows along with changer in color make a decorative effect. Sumac, which grows abundantly on the Walapai reservation, is the material used. Sticks have been places around the rim and wrapped to hold them in place.
