DescriptionThis is a scroll painting titled Meeting the Grandchildren by Kuo Ping-chun in 1967 for his first time meeting his grandchildren. The artist was born in 1900 in modern-day Chiayi graduated from Taiwan Medical School in 1923, practiced medicine in a suburb of Chiayi. Late in the 1920s he took lessons from Master Lin Yu-shan. The figure in white likely represents Kuo Ping-chun, while the two children are probably Aloysius Kuo’s children, Jeffrey and Fidelius.On View
