DescriptionLoquats is a watercolor on paper painting by Taiwanese artist Victor Chang. The painter’s father was an army general who moved the whole family from Mainland China to Taiwan after World War II. Despite his military background, his father loved traditional Chinese culture and arts. Their house in Taipei became a constant meeting place for famous masters such as Huang Jun-Bi, Cheng Tzu-Ho, Zhong Shou Ruan, Fan Bo-Hong, Liu Tai-Xi and Wu Ken-Bai. Therefore, Mr. Chang grew up in a home immersed in books, paintings, and calligraphy. Particularly due to his private tutoring sessions with Master Zhong, Mr. Chang fell in love with painting and writing. On View
