DescriptionChinese embroidered fan (kossu) with carved ivory handle with five (5) levels of design. The fan is circular cloth with a blue winged bird sitting on a branch. The bird is facing the center of the fan and is on the right facing side. There are red flowers and berries on the limbs. The bottom of the handle is carved; the other sections of the handle have brown inlay. The large central area has twelve (12) carved flowers. There is a tri-foil design on either end of the section. There is a circular design in the next sections and a flower in the last section. There is a string attached to the top of the fan.
