DescriptionBasket covered bottle with cover; twined, warp twisted from cedar bark, weft from squaw grass. Ornamentation, 7 bands of varying width, in black, orange, brown and red, each colored band containing a different design in contrasting color. Made by Makah Indians, Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Height 9" Diam. base 2.5" (Known as bird-cage weave.) Written on card: Nootka group
