DescriptionJade figurines like this frog example were popular in Chinese history. There is a long history of jade figures in China, first appearing in the round in the Shang Dynasty (1600-1027 BCE). This piece is of relatively contemporary make, illustrating that the jade carving industry in China is still alive thousands of years later.
