DescriptionThis is Three Stripe Hand Towel with Hole and Unsewn Label, a three-dimensional paper print created by the artist Analia Saban in collaboration with Mixografía in 2016. Saban is an Argentinian-born contemporary conceptual artist working and living in Los Angeles and New York City. She has collaborated with Mixografía several times since 2014, including on Dry Clean Only a 2019 exhibition of prints that she made of textile labels. Three Stripe Hand Towel with Hole and Unsewn Label was made as a corollary to a 2016 series of Mixografías with plastic bags as their subjects. In general, Saban’s works very often incorporate everyday objects in subversive commentaries on everyday experiences and explorations of materiality.
