DescriptionOrchid is a watercolor on paper painting by Taiwanese artist Grace Chu. Deeply in love with the beauty of ink, Grace Chu is the student of Master Shao Ang Zhao from the Ling Nan School, as well as Hao Nian Ou and Zi Yan Wu. Grace Chu moved to the United States after her marriage. She has further studied with famous visiting calligrapher Zhi Zhong Yuan from Shanghai since 2006. Grace Chu's paintings are elegant and beautiful. Currently she is the Chairwoman of the Southern California Chinese Painting Society, a member of the American Chinese Fine Art Association, and acting director of the Chinese Painting Society (USA). The Mandarin in this painting roughly translates to “the fragrance can be smelled very far away, and it is very refreshing.”
