DescriptionPeonies is a watercolor on paper painting by Taiwanese artist Mao Wen-Ying. She began painting by learning basic techniques from teacher Lin Xian-Jing. Later, she had the opportunity to be mentored by two of the most famous masters of Chinese painting, Deng Xue-F eng and Lee Qi-Mao, improving her skills. After she moved to the U.S., Mao Wen-Ying attended the Art Institute of Tennessee. There she participated in local art activities and entered many art shows, winning countless awards. In 2010, she won first place for her painting in the National Sing-Hi Art Competition. Ever since Mao Wen-Ying moved to California, she has followed Master Yan Fang-Wei, who helped find her passion and truly advance her calligraphy skills. She has followed and enjoyed this lifestyle for the past 30 years.On View
