DescriptionThis bowl made by Santa Clara artist Legoria Tafoya is made in the traditional blackware style in which during firing, it is deprived of oxygen turning it black. The shiny surfaces are made be burnishing or polishing the clay before firing and creates a distinction from the unpolished matte surfaces of the bowl. This is a hand built bowl.
