DescriptionBlack wedding vase by Margaret Tafoya, Santa Clara. Margaret Tafoya, from Santa Clara Pueblo, is recognized as one of the finest traditional potters of the twentieth century. She was known for her highly polished blackware vessels. Double spouted wedding jars were used in wedding ceremonies and also are very popular in the art market.
