DescriptionPair of sleeve facings sewn together - could easily be separated. White silk embroidered with a multicolored garden scene. Not lined on back.

From Vollmer appraisal: Fragments of pair of sleeve facings. Han Chinese culture dating to 1850-1870 made of white satin with loop and black stitch embroidery in colored silk floss. Described as mirror image scene of landscape with boatman. It is unused and incomplete. It is a typical example of type and period. It is of unusual design, and could be framed.
