DescriptionPost classic sculpture from Veracruz, Mexico. Female seated on a large platform with a flower in her hand. Wide face with almond eyes and protruding "flower" tongue. Thorn-like headdress, incised ear diamonds, elaborate ear ornaments. Necklace and long skirt, one hand holds flowers, the other sets on the knee. Buff clay with traces of painted stucco. There is a hummingbird on flower.
