DescriptionPlains - Ceremonial Head Knocker/War Club, fully beaded with seed glass beads in striped design of orange, red, green, blue, yellow in straignt stitch design, and human hair ties with one bear and one white fur tie, 2-1/2"h. x 21"l. x 5"w. (at head). Small brass fish-shaped form ornament attached to tie at C. Beaded stone top has inlays of mother-of-pearl on each end. Label Copy, "A ceremonial club which was probably never used in war in its present state but which may have been before it was beaded. Human hair ties may be scalp trophies. Hair ties of bear fur and elk hair are also tied to this club. A small brass fish ornament is attached which is not of Indian origin. The beaded stone top has inlays of mother-of-pearl to each end."
