DescriptionCarl Jonnevold, of Norwegian birth, moved to San Francisco in 1887 where he maintianed a studio for many years. "Untitled" is typical of the intimate-sized landscapes he painted in the Barbozon School vein. The Barbizon School consisted of a group of naturalist landscape painters who worked in the vicinity of a small village on the outskirsts of Paris by the same name.
