DescriptionThis custom printed photograph postcard depicts an automobile parked on a dirt road carrying six women and two men as passengers. The automobile appears to resemble a REO Model B, which were made between 1905 and 1907. The image is captioned: "On the road to Orange County Park. Ruth Taylor early day milliner a passenger." Another photograph from this collection indicates that one of the men in the photo is named Abe Hendricks.Orange County Park, now known as Irvine Regional Park, was and still is a popular day destination for picnicing and enjoying nature. The caption indicates these automobiles have made the approximately 8-mile trip from Santa Ana to the park much more feasible.
