DescriptionThese graduated wooden calipers were used for measuring the outside diameter of oranges at the Santiago Orange Growers Association packing house in the City of Orange, CA. The size of the orange was used to determine the price to be paid to the grower, so various sizes and their corresponding prices are written in ink on the side of the calipers for the packing house employee to use as a reference. On View
