DescriptionThis photograph depicts nine workers posing in an orchard on the Klokke Ranch on Pioneer Avenue in Placentia. The owner of the ranch was Maj. Ernst F. C. Klokke, an immigrant from Holland and Civil War veteran who settled in Orange County in 1888. Klokke also served as President of the Placentia Orange Growers Association.The man second from the left in the photo is identified as Ed D. Lang, Foreman of Klokke Ranch, and the man driving the horse cart is identified as George Vincent.
