DescriptionMore research is required to track the origin of this object, though the most similar examples seem to come from Oceania. It bear particular similarities to the pig killing clubs used in Vanuatu. The size and weight of this object suggest that it was made for a non-utilitarian purpose, perhaps a ceremonial one. The length of the head and the face carved into the outer angle of the intersections between the club’s shaft and head seem to confirm this object’s ceremonial function. On View
