DescriptionHat from China probably Miao or other similar minority culture. Dates to the 20th century. This hat is shaped oval with a flat bent wood crown. At the rear is a piece of black fabric embellished with strings of beads. Many tassels have white, red and black beads. Strings and yarn are also attached to the same fabric. A band at the back has red and green thin wood bands. There is also two 7" bone needles attached to the hat with blue string.
