DescriptionThis jar was made between the Yuan and Ming dynasties (1279-1644). It depicts a horse on one side and a flying bird on the other. The jar is cizhou-type stoneware with black pigment on a cream-colored glaze. The high neck and slightly tapered mouth give it a distinctive shape.
