DescriptionPhotograph depicting a float from Santa Ana's Parade of Products, likely taken around 1905-1910. The float is drawn by two horses and its carriage is decorated with vines and florals. A hanging bell can be seen. It is uncertain what this float represents, but it may be associated with fire or police as there are men in uniform driving it.This float was a part of the Parade of Products which was first held in conjunction with the Orange County Fair in 1906. The parade was created to display the wealth of products produced in Orange County, a Queen was chosen each year, and prizes were awarded for livestock, produce, and homemade goods. To this day, the OC Fair continues this tradition by featuring a wide array of products for sale by individual vendors in sections of the fairgrounds named Carnival of Products, Parade of Products, and Festival of Products.
