The parade was created to display the wealth of products produced in Orange County, a Queen was chosen each year, and prizes were awarded for livestock, produce, and homemade goods. To this day, the OC Fair continues this tradition by featuring a wide array of products for sale by individual vendors in sections of the fairgrounds named Carnival of Products, Parade of Products, and Festival of Products.
