DescriptionThe Rattle katsina is one of the numerous “runner” katsinam and also appears during several other dance ceremonies. It has a face mask that is flattened on the sides and painted with celestial designs. The katsina also wears a long white cotton kilt decorated with embroidery and has a heavily embroidered sash along the right leg.
