DescriptionCarved by an unknown Hopi artist this standing Ai, or Aya, Rattle Katsina (or kachina) is placed on a round wooden base. Turquoise yarn is around its wrists and legs. His head is a rattle. Rattles are made from gourds and used in a variety of ways. Ai is a runner katsina who encourages individuals to race them in contest.On View
