DescriptionThis strong box was used to carry cash and mail. Wells Fargo set up offices at the stores of August Langenberger in Anaheim and William Spurgeon in Santa Ana. The safe transfer of money was necessary for the building of the new American cities. The presence of a reliable banking company gave the new settlers a sense of security.
