DescriptionVessel. Late Classic, Maya, Guatemala. Funerary offering. Cylindrical polychrome ceramic vase. Painted procession of 5 masked figures around exterior in pink, red, & gray. Black outlines. Zoomorphs apparently represent human with tail wearing jaguar headdress; monkey, tapir and crane. Glyphs around rim in black and orange. An astonishing example of Maya design, with original sketch lines still showing.
