DescriptionThe Bouyei people are an indigenous minority group of China, residing mostly in the southwestern and central areas of Guizhou Province. Their culture has remained relatively well-preserved over time. Bouyei women are skilled in textiles, especially indigo batik, although this wedding blanket was woven from silk and cotton. It incorporates supplementary warp designs in addition to embroidery, for which the Bouyei are also well-known.On View
