DescriptionThis red refillable candle was manufactured in England by Ronson International Limited, and likely purchased in Hong Kong where the donor’s mother was living until she moved to U.S. in 1965 sending family items forward including the bronze clock / incense burner and candlesticks that are part of this donation. The other items were given to the donor’s parents as a thank you gift in the early 1930s. The candles date to the 1960s. Though they take the shape of traditional altar pieces, these items were created as decorative pieces and never meant to be used in the context of religion or worship. On View
