DescriptionGelede crown mask. Wood. Compressed face. Large eyes with slits. Wide pug nose sits atop large lipped mouth. Three vertical scarification lines on cheeks. "Crown" headdress composed of 12 crescent shapes meeting at the cross on top of the central support. Accents with blue paint. Jeane Whitley, research docent feels the crown with the cross on the top may related to Queen Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
