DescriptionDuring the Warring States period (475-221 BCE), weapons were produced in great numbers to accommodate the demand of large armies. As a result, the design of the weaponry was largely plain, however, this spearhead is an exception to the rule. The elegant aperture that would have socketed into a shaft is typical of the period’s southeastern Wu and Yue states. A close examination reveals traces of this spearhead’s original cloth wrapping.On View
