Wiener in his studio for an advertisement in the New York Times.Lomax was the first African-American television journalist, and is well-known for producing a five-part documentary series on the Black nationalist organization Nation of Islam, titled The Hate That Hate Produced, which became the first introduction for many white people to Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X.
