DescriptionBlack and white portrait photograph of two Kiowa women; one named To-math-to (Tom-e-ath-to). One of these women is Lone Wolf's daughter. It was taken at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and dates to 1858. The smaller woman on the proper right has her hair down. She is wearing light-colored beaded earrings and a striped blanket around her shoulders. The other woman has her hair in wrapped pig-tails. A long fur tail is attached to her hair. She is also wearing a pectoral ornament made of four columns of light colored cylindrical beads. This photograph is mounted onto an orange board with the photographer's name, W.S. Soule, and location, Fort. Sills, printed on the back.
