DescriptionPhotograph and negative taken by Santa Ana photographer Leo E. Tiede of an exhibit of farm produce booth boxes marked: California Fruit Growers Exchange. Labels on the sides of the crates indicate the brands displayed, including Uniform Brand, Colonel, George Washington Brand, President Brand, Red Mill Brand, and Queen Isabella grape juice. A sign in the background reads: Garden Grove / Hub of the County. Other small display signs indicate entries from the city of Tustin. This photo may depict a display at the Orange County Fair. Each year at the fair, OC cities displayed their finest products and prizes were awarded for livestock, produce, and homemade goods. To this day, the OC Fair continues this tradition by featuring a wide array of products for sale by individual vendors in sections of the fairgrounds named Carnival of Products, Parade of Products, and Festival of Products.
