DescriptionBeautifully carved red catlinite pipe bowl bowl with incised decorations on three sides of the bowl in the form of four leaves and cross hatching. This item may have originally belonged to Spotted Eagle, personal aide to Chief Sitting Bull. If that is the case, it would date to the mid 19th century (1840s-1880s).
