DescriptionAs part of the traditional garb of Tibet's nomadic peoples, this set of belt straps, or lochab, served as both utilitarian and ornamental objects. The cloth or leather loops at the top were threaded over a wide belt, and various ornaments or other objects like gau boxes, flint pouches, or seals were hung from the silver, coral, and turquoise elements at the bottom.On View
