DescriptionLike many nomadic cultures, the Khampa people of Eastern Tibet keep their wealth in the form of wearable ornaments. With great variation in size and type, Khampa ornaments are commonly made from silver, coral, and turquoise, and are worn by men and women alike. This object is a small hair or hat ornament, and would have been worn with other similar ornaments, as well as with necklaces, gau boxes, bracelets, earrings, and elaborate belts.
