DescriptionThis human finger bone necklace was collected from Upper Sepik River region in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea and dates from early to mid-20th century. A necklace made out of several finger bones, each bone is a different size and shape. The necklace also has three rounded rocks and a single bone pendant–longer than the rest of the bones. Adornments made from human bones are considered valuable items.On View
