DescriptionPapuan Gulf drum from Aroto Village, Kikori area. Dates circa 1920. A cylindrical shaped hollow drum with open ends. One of the two ends is shaped like an open fish or crocodile mouth; "u" shaped. Around that same end, there are deeply carved spiral-like designs filled in with orange and yellow pigment or paint.On View
