Kasaan, ('Pretty Town,' in the Tlingit dialect) is one if three villages on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska, still occupied by the Tajilana family of the Haida Indians. They ejected the Tlingits from it, in accordance with the reputation they bore for aggressiveness and prowess as fighters..."
