DescriptionFighting stick collected from Wuvulu Island, also known as Matti Island, in the Manus Province of Papua New Guinea. This object dates from the early to mid-20th Century. This stick is long and dark brown with a smooth surface. There is one blade protruding out along one side at the top. This blade is made out of turtle bone. There are two pegs on the stick parallel to the blade. The blade is sharp and curved with different textures on either side. The bottom of the stick is shaped like a pointed cone.On View
