DescriptionKomo Society mask. The Bambara's religion features six initiatory societies, the N’domo, Komo, Nama, Kono, Tyiwara and Koré, all of which involve the usage of masks. This mask has two plumes of porcupine quills, one that protrudes from the nose and onethat protrudes at the dome of the mask's head. This mask would have had feathers attached above the eyes and upper snout area.On View
