DescriptionPhotograph of the Red Cap Shoe Store, the first Black-owned shoe store in Santa Ana, run by Mr. Thomas Bell, c. 1920. The man standing in front of the counter was the shoe repairman. Through the doorway in the back was a Mexican-owned barber shop. According to the donor, this business was located on 4th street in Santa Ana but has not yet been located in any city directories.On View
