DescriptionThis object is an ancient Tibetan coin which was likely buried and uncovered before being used as an ornament or talisman by its finder. The design of the coin does not appear to match any Tibetan coins made after 1644. Most Tibetan coins have designs based on concentric circles, and this one appears to have an asymmetric side. According to the donor, when the people of Tibet find these coins they keep them as talismans because they believe they fell from the heavens. On View
