DescriptionThis is a woven basket collected from the island country Palau dates back to the 20th century. Baskets are typically made by weaving together coconut fronds that have been soaked and dried until they are yellowed. Baskets are versatile object in Palau and are used for everything from storing items to transporting cooked taro.
