DescriptionThough unmarried Dani women wear grass skirts, after marriage a pleated skirt woven together from orchid and other natural plant fibers is worn. Various fibers make for multicolored bands, though this object relies exclusively on the traditional brown of rattan and a yellow from tightly woven orchid.
