DescriptionIn Morocco, wool is the most important fiber for textile production. The traditional costume of a mountain woman consists of a long woolen tunic draped horizontally around the body, and over her tunic, a woman wears the rectangular cloak patterned with weft stripes. Among the High Atlas peoples, there are many of the weft-stripe patterns, each particular to a certain group so the affiliation of the wearer is immediately apparent.
